Avi and Sukhleen were incredible, friendly, and so helpful. Due to increased traffic me and my wife arrived late, but we called ahead and they were so accommodating. You can tell that they really care about the experience and never once rushed us. They made sure that we were happy with our scent profile before mixing and answered all the questions we had for them. They have a large selection of notes available so you'll definitely be able to make something that suits your own tastes. How long is a perfume-making session?

Each session is 1.5 hours long, giving you enough time to explore notes, blend confidently, and bottle your custom fragrance.

Do I need any experience to create my own scent?

Not at all. We guide you through every step, from understanding notes to balancing your blend. Beginners usually surprise themselves with how naturally it all comes together.

What’s included in the session?

You get full access to our curated scent library, all blending tools, personalized guidance, and a 30ml bottle, or an upgrade of 50ml and 100ml of your finished fragrance to take home.

Is this activity suitable individuals, couples, or groups?

We encourage all scenarios. Solo sessions feel calm and immersive, group bookings bring a fun, shared energy, and couples can enjoy a private, creative experience together. The choice is entirely yours.

Can I reorder my custom scent later?

Absolutely. We store your formula in our system, so you can reorder or recreate your fragrance anytime without having to rebuild it from scratch.

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

While we do not offer cancellations, we do allow rescheduling up to 48 hours prior to your session.

What types of sessions can I book?

We currently offer our introductory DIY perfumery workshop. Soon, advanced classes will be available for those seeking a deeper, technique-focused exploration of the craft.

Can I bring my partner even if only one of us is participating?

Each seat at our workshop tables is reserved for a participant creating their own blend, so we’re not able to offer separate observation seating. If only one of you plans to make a fragrance, we’d recommend booking a single session for that person.

If your partner decides they’d like to join in after all, we’re happy to accommodate that with an additional seat, based on availability. Just let us know ahead of time via atelier@fifthnote.ca if there’s a chance you’ll want to add a second spot, so we can plan for it.
